Shipping
Shipping costs vary a great deal depending on where you
live and what you order!
Please read our shipping policy carefully.
Orders made before noon Pacific time are usually shipped the same day.
Orders with bread or frozen food are held until Monday if they will not
arrive by Saturday. This is to prevent your order from sitting in a
hot warehouse over the weekend - we want your order to arrive fresh and in
perfect condition.
Shipping Charges are as follows:
Non-perishable items: $7.95 in California, and $9.95 in the rest of the
mainland U.S.
Bread and Bagels: $14.95 in California, $24.95 in the rest of the mainland
U.S.
A few very heavy items require additional shipping charges. You
will be contacted to approve any additional charges before your order is
shipped.
Common Questions About Shipping
Why is the bread not frozen when I receive it?
Our bread is flash-frozen immediately after baking, is shipped to us frozen,
and we store it frozen. We ship to you via expedited shipping. In the winter,
we use a regular box, in the summer, we use an insulated box. If you
within two days ground shipping of our warehouse, we will ship ground. For
the rest of the country, we ship by Priority Mail. When you receive the the
bread, it will be thawed but still very fresh. You can either put it in
the fridge, where it should keep up to two weeks, or freeze it. There is
no loss of quality during the refreezing, and the bread will last several
months.
I ordered on Thursday, but you did not ship my order until
Monday. Why did you wait?
If you have ordered perishable products, we do not ship unless you will
receive your product by Saturday. Courier companies store packages in a
non-airconditiioned warehouse over the weekend. We don't want your food to
spoil, so we hold the perishable portion of your order until Monday, and then
ship it.
Part of my order arrived, and the rest arrived two days later.
What happened?
Perishable items are shipping separately via Priority Mail. Non-persishable items are shipped ground.
